COLLIER HIGH SCHOOLS REPORT CARD IN

​

The Florida Department of Education released its annual high school report card. The Collier County School District continued to beat state averages in terms of both the percent of A-graded schools (70% vs. 36%) and graduation rate (82.1% vs. 76.1%). Well done, CCPS and community members who support them!

FLORIDA STATE LEGISLATURE SUPPORTS EDUCATION

 

The 2015 Work Plan's top priority is to elevate Florida’s investment in K-12 and higher education by increasing K-12 per student funding.

HEALTHIER EATING: A GREAT IDEA

Junk foods may be replaced by snacks with more nutritional value soon.  The School Board will vote on this Smart Snacks initiative at the March 10th school board meeting. 

LIVE WELL AND LOVE LIVING

Gulf Coast HS Senior Elizabeth Roux honored her mother in a prize-winning speech at the Laws of Life contest. "She told me life is not so much about conquering as it is about fighting well...I will live well and love living, for I know that challenges are only more of life's glorious adventures."

CCPS families had a great time learning about science, technology, engineering, and math at the iSTEM conference at Golden Gate High School.
